Viagem da Profª Cláudia à Chesapeake - Virginia/EUA

On January 10th, I started one of the most important experiences in my life. I travelled to the USA with another English teacher from Joinville to visit Chesapeake, a city in the state of Virginia. The idea was to learn about their educational system, exchanging experiences with American teachers and students, to look for friends to work together in our pen-pal project and to know about their culture.
We spent fifteen days there, in a family house. It was an opportunity to live an American routine during this period. We visited many different cities nearby: Newport News, Williamsburg, Virginia beach, Hampton, Norfolk and Washington D.C. To visit Washington D.C was a special moment, because it was two days after the Inauguration of the president Barack Obama. To be in the U.S during the Inauguration was important to understand the relation of these nation and their country.
In the end of the trip, we decided to spend some days in New York City, the Big Apple! It was wonderful to visit all those places that we usually see on TV. Here some special moments...
